I cannot recommend Danni enough if you have the desire to become a confident and proficient knitter!  Under Danni’s expert guidance I learned to knit socks!  I was intimidated to try but Danni’s teaching style is so can-do yet relaxed it was an absolute pleasure.  She takes all the stress out of knitting and makes it the enjoyable hobby it should be.  I recently finished a sweater class with Danni and it was awesome!  If you want to experience the joy and relaxing elements of knitting, Danni is your girl!  She will make you feel like a real knitter from that very first stitch!

I was a fairly new knitter when I first began taking classes with Danni, having only completed a few simple projects (washcloths, scarves, cowls). I was initially interested in her classes because the projects she taught were items I was actually interested in wearing (cool, contemporary sweaters, wraps, hats and socks—think hip Madewell style). Not old-fashioned, dowdy “practice” items to just learn specific stitches or techniques. Speaking of techniques, however, socks two-at-a-time on magic loop is a must in her class line-up. In the end, aside from great styles and new techniques, I also came to appreciate Danni’s fun personality, encouraging easy-going teaching style and knowledge of all things knitting (leather ruler bracelet or custom made Lazy Susan yarn holder anyone?) She knows about such things and is enthusiastic about knitting as only someone truly passionate about their craft can be—and it’s contagious so consider yourself forewarned! Unfortunately, Danni no longer teaches in my city (Charlotte) but if you’re in the Greenville area, consider yourself lucky to get my seat in her knitting circle. You won’t be disappointed!

For 10 years, I’ve been the kind of knitter that was afraid to expand my skillset beyond basic knit and purl stitches & simple scarves.  I was so overwhelmed with the thought of learning anything new, but Danni not only inspired me to learn more, she taught me to knit socks, hats, sweaters, and using colorwork too!  All within a few months!!  I never thought I would be this kind of knitter, but she has done the impossible!  Her lessons are absolutely invaluable, and I’m so excited to continue to learn new things!  Danni is the best!!

I am so excited that Danni Ertter is opening London Fog stitchery!  Not only is she a talented knitter with an exceptional eye for color, but she is a gifted teacher who is able to gently correct her student’s errors while encouraging them to continue to learn new skills.  Personally, I’ve had many opportunities to seek Danni’s expertise and am amazed at how quickly she can spot what I did wrong and show me how to fix it.  Her patience, knowledge and ability to clearly explain is exactly what is needed for those of us who want to grow our own knitting abilities.  Thanks to Danni’s encouragement (and help) I’m wearing sweaters that I never thought I’d be able make!

Taking lessons with Danni has been so much fun. I was a novice when I started knitting last year and Danni was always willing to go the extra mile by explaining things and demonstrating stitches. She is very knowledgeable, but more importantly she has a real passion for the work she does! She makes learning fun and had so much patience with my knitting emergencies. Take my advice, and learn from Danni
